EXHIBITION IN GALLERY RAMFJORD – OSLO, MARCH-APRIL 2017
I carefully select forms and images, deconstruct them into abstract elements, and then construct them again in a constellation that gives an impression of my subjects rather than a narrative description. I work with the language of visual abstraction. To abstract means to extract, to isolate features (forms, colours, lines) from their realistic, natural state; in Latin, abstraction comes from the word abstractus: “drawn away”, to drag away, detach.
